SAN JUAN DEL PUERTO

San Juan del Puerto, established in the XV century of duke Medina Sidonia, from here merchandise was shipped into the whole world. San Juan del Puerto stood with it in competition with the harbor Moguer and Palos. At the beginning, there was only the small harbor where fruits and wines were stowed on ships. The harbor later was widened and was turned over merchandise like grains, corn, olives and cotton it there.
