SANLÚCAR DE GUADIANA

Surround from flat hills, at the Portuguese border, the splendid community Sanlúcar of the Guadiana is. The Guzmans, men from Sanlúcar of Barrameda, are with their authority, for the name of this community responsible. Sanlúcar, a marvellously white village, with clean and groomed streets, that are enough as far as to the river. Around this place around, low hills are in the north, east and south. On the hills of the North side, the castle of San Marcos is itself, as a guard, that protection for the Sanluqueños, with help of the riverside, against attacks of the neighbours from Portugal, offered.

The economy of the Sanluqueños, was interconnected traditional with the river Guadiana, until middle of the 20 century, it was a very important economic street. Already in the XIII and XIV century had been used the river for the transportation of wood, wine, grains and fish. This economic viability is completed by the cattlemen, the forestry and the agriculture, by the usefulness of the grass country. In the immediate surroundings, there are splendid outlooks for nature friends, as in about 4Km removal the grassland of San Silvestre.

| La Rivera Grande (big river area) of loosely Álamos is far known because of the rich colonization of swallows. Visiting Sanlúcar over the river recommend itself, between high and undulating plants, splendid places, speckled with White House and antique windmills.
